buildNepal is a group of global changemakers who are working to cultivate local resource based social enterprises that finances grassroots upgrades and social security. Our aim is to create seven Glocal Townships by 2020 and jumpstart 100 Glocal Townships across Nepal by 2030.
Our global band of socially responsible, entrepreneurially driven, and environmentally aware citizens collaborate with leaders from various communities to work together towards overall development of the country starting at their Townships through community based social enterprises. Our Nexus helps local entrepreneur or group to:
- Identify most impactful local enterprises at their township
- Develop investment proposal
- Connect their proposal with potential investors
- Successfully operate their business by providing technical support for production, value addition, and Marketing.
In return the enterprises contributes 50% of the net profit to local development of the township. North Kathmandu Pizza and Dhorpatan Goat Farm are the two of the latest successful examples of this practice.
