Public Library is a concept of an integrated digital library which provides different services like e-library, discussion forum for students and nearby residents, digital notice board etc. Ananda Gautam, a student of Islington College built a prototype of North Kathmandu Public Library using a $35 card sized computing board ( raspberry pi) and open source education resources which included offline wikipedia, khan academy, medline plus, radio action and many of other with additional features of video conferencing system to interconnect between nearby schools within same network, discussion forum which enabled to discuss on public issues for residents and discuss on questions for students, a local file server where residents and students can upload resources.
